Growing Your Plant -- Instructions
-
1. When you get home, put your sand in a cup saucer, or small shallow dish.
-
2. Tomorrow- Take a fork, and poke your fork into the bottom of your styrofoam cup.
-
3. This helps the plant to breath and protect from root rot.
-
4. You can poke the fork on the bottom twice so your roots can breath and water can drain.
-
5. Do not overwater. Keep your dirt moist. Water a little daily..about 2 teaspoons of water.
-
6. Your plant is planted in its own mini greenhouse now -
-
7. To keep your plant organic use only water.
-
8. Keep your plant in a sunny place.
-
9. Keep your plastic bag loosely tented over your plant...this acts as a little greenhouse.
-
10. Once your plant has grown so that it is to the top of your planting marker - you can take off your plastic.
-
11. After your plant is 5 to 6 inches...transplant into a final larger pot.
-
12. Don't forget to share your plant's produce with the Second Harvest Food Bank :)
